No increased volcanic activity at Soufriere

At press time, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries was assuring members of the general public that there was definitely no increased activity at La Soufriere, based on the recordings of its monitoring systems and physical checks made on Wednesday, April 28, at the volcano.{{more}}

This reassurance came after the Ministry had received a number of calls expressing concerns of possible activities at the volcano.

“The Ministry of Agriculture will like to reassure the public that it will continue to be vigilant – astutely monitoring all activities at the volcano, so that the safety of all Vincentians can be assured,” a message from the office of the Chief Agricultural Officer Reuben Robertson said.
