At the conclusion of a Coronerâs Inquest into Alexanderâs death on March 16, 2010, at the Serious Offences Court, a five member jury unanimously returned a verdict of guilty of manslaughter against Green.
On October 16, 2008, Green shot Alexander four times about the body after it is claimed that Alexander came at him (Green) with a knife.
When contacted, the DPP refused to comment on the matter, except to say that he would speak when the time is right.
He said the DPP is not bound to follow a decision of the jury in an inquest and further added that he has the power to indict or discontinue any matter.
A post mortem examination revealed that Alexander died as a result of multiple gunshot injuries. He sustained gunshot injuries to the neck and legs.(KW)
