Prime Minister Dr.Ralph Gonsalves made this disclosure on Monday, April 12, 2010.
âThis is substantial repairs,â said Gonsalves, noting the repairs would be funded under the 10th European Development Fund.
âWe have to take care of those who are most marginalized,â said the Prime Minister.
In the aftermath of the Monday, January 4, 2010, fire at the Mental Hospital which gutted the wing that housed the male patients, Minister of Health and the Environment, Dr. Douglas Slater, promised that efforts will be made to repair the building and improve the overal conditions there.
Seventy-four patients (46 females and 28 males) had to be evacuated to the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies of the Community College on the night of the fire. (HN)
