The April 20 and 21 seminar is entitled The Essentials of Business Communication. It is designed to equip persons from the public and private sectors with a set of strategies and techniques that will enable them to communicate effectively in their businesses and workplaces.

CED’s Manager of Training and Education, Jacintha James, says the seminar was introduced last year and had good reviews.

“There is no doubt that at CED we are tuned in to the needs of the business sector here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We continue to introduce new training opportunities and avoid duplicating the efforts of other agencies as far as possible. One of our greatest problems is to get persons to register early; however, we are always heartened at the support we receive in the end. This seminar on Business Communication is one that had overwhelming support last year and this year following on from our Basic English Skills seminar; we are expecting a full house.”

The seminar on “Essentials of Business Communications” will follow another innovation entitled “Basic English for Business, which was held in late March. It is expected that participants will gain a better understanding of the forms of communication they need to master and suggestions for building their communication skills.

Business Consultant Monica Thomas-Woodley will facilitate the seminar on “Essentials of Business Communications”, which takes place at CED’s Conference Room, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. Interested persons can register at CED’s Office.
