YOULOU Arts Foundation holds gala fundraiser

Efforts to establish an Art Gallery and Centre continued as the YOULOU Arts Foundation staged its gala event last Saturday, February 27.{{more}}

The event took the form of a cocktail with an auction of artwork by local artists, followed by the screening of the film “Who Does She Think She Is?” a documentary from Academy Award-winning filmmaker, Pamela Tanner Boll, and featuring St. Vincent’s own Camille Musser- Saunders, founder of the Youlou Arts Foundation.

“What we are about – we are an art organization and we are trying to raise funds for an art gallery and centre,” Saunders said.

“Proceeds will go towards this, so that there will be an outlet to showcase art and also as a place to facilitate visiting artists wishing to conduct workshops,” she added.
