Recently, at a ceremony held at the school, the president of the group Mbeki Swift handed over a quantity of non-perishable food items to Bernard Marksman, president of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Association. The food items represented donations from the student body of the school. Swift pointed out that even though the food items seem small in quantity, he knew it would go a long way in assisting needy people in Haiti.

The treasurer of the young leaders group Bjorn Bullock also handed over a total of $1180 to Marksman. The money was also collected from the students of the school. Marksman, in accepting the contributions, thanked the young leaders for their generous contribution and encouraged them to continue to keep the people of Haiti in their thoughts and in their prayers.

The young leaders took the opportunity to point out that other activities are in the planning stage for more assistance to be made to the Haiti Relief effort. They pointed out that they are partnering with the school’s band to stage a massive concert in order to raise more funds for the people of Haiti.
