The school’s hall was transformed into a sea of decorative hats as children, parents and teachers gathered to enjoy renditions of poems, songs and short stories. The programme took place on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the school.

Each class from Kindergarten to Grade six performed two pieces each, including group as well as solo renditions.

Giving the welcoming remarks, Headteacher Godfrey James encouraged the children to share what they have learnt with each other. “Education is not for persons to keep it… the more you share the more you receive.’ James said.

Retired Headteacher Ethel King urged parents to continue to encourage children to read as it will provide more opportunities for them. She added that being able to read is mandatory if students are to excel at school.
