According to Suzette King, Literacy Coordinator, the school has a vibrant literacy programme. However, it was unable to maximize its fullest potential due to the lack of modern teaching aids.

That is now a thing of the past with the donation of the unit.

Although it is just one computer, King expressed her gratitude by saying that it will offer tremendous support and be of the benefit not just to the students, but also the teaching staff.

It is expected that the computer will be used as a teaching aid and allow staff to access learning materials.

“Education has always been one of the major focal points of our establishment,” Alexis John, Marketing Executive at Courts St Vincent said.

He spoke of the introduction of the Courts Reading Competition, which was designed to enhance the reading skills among the nation’s primary schools.

“We want to continue where we left off and the main objective is to ensure that the students at C.W Prescod improve their reading skills,” John contended.
