Chamber to honour businessmen
Five of this countryâs leading businessmen are expected to be honoured this weekend, as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce hosts its first ever Business Awards and Induction Ceremony.{{more}}
The late Educator Bertram âTimmyâ Richards, and the late supermarket pioneers C.K. Greaves and Sir Phillip Veira are to be recognized for their contribution to the nation, while Reginald DaSilva and the late Arthur Connell will receive recognition for their commitment to the Chamber.
The event takes place tomorrow evening at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.
With categories from the Peopleâs Choice for Outstanding Customer Service to Entrepreneur of the Year, companies ranging from agro processing and insurance brokers to security and broadcasting have been nominated in seven
categories, with the winners set to be announced at the ceremony which begins at 7pm.
The other categories include Business Innovator of the Year, Community Involvement and Small, Medium and Large Business Excellence awards.
According to a release from the Chamber, the inaugural event is being held in recognition of Vincentian business excellence, as they honour leading business men and women for their achievements and contributions to the society. (JJ)
