On Wednesday at the Police Conference Room in Kingstown, Kelroy Patterson and Junior Nash of Ottley Hall accused the CID officers of being on the side of their rivals from Edinboro.
In the presence of Commissioner of Police Keith Miller, Patterson claimed that persons from Edinboro commit crimes then call the police stating that persons from Ottley Hall committed the acts of lawlessness. âDem have CID man working with them dey you know,â said Patterson, who admitted to having cousins working at CID.
Patterson, however, said that although he has relatives in the police force, he does not want them to defend him at all.
The head of the local constabulary had called a meeting between members of rival groups from Ottley Hall and Edinboro aiming at resolving their differences and making their communities better places to reside.
Commissioner Miller stepped in and told Patterson it was a very serious allegation that he was making and if it was true, the matter would have been dealt with. (KW)
