Administrative Secretary of the Carnival Development Corporationâs office Sobreena Richardson will spend the next two years at the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institution, where she will be majoring in Tourism Management.
Richardson, affectionately known as âSueâ by everyone involved in the countryâs premier cultural festival, has been employed with the CDC since 2004.
Her face would usually the first seen upon entering the office located at Victoria Park, or her voice would be the first heard when calling.
The 23-year-old former student of the St. Josephâs Convent Marriaqua said that she is filled with mixed emotions as she heads off to further her education.
Richardson said that she is looking forward to furthering her education at the institution, which she believes will aid in the development of this countryâs tourism product.
She disclosed to SEARCHLIGHT that she looks forward to beginning the new chapter in her life, although she will miss more than anything else, her mother Roslyn, her hometown of Carrierre and of course working at the CDC office. (JJ)
