EC$32,000.00 was presented to the students, from a “Children in Need Fund” to which a number of organisations and individuals in the U.K. have contributed. The Fund was established in the U. K. four years ago, by St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ High Commissioner in London, His Excellency Cenio Lewis.

This year, a major contributor has been the Men’s Christian Fellowship at the Sands Seventh Day Adventist Church in High Wycombe, which donated two thousand, two hundred (£2,225) pounds sterling from two fundraising events staged for the purpose.

The “Children in Need Fund” is an ongoing project, from which over three 300 students have received bursaries over the years.

Yesterday’s presentation ceremony took place at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade.
