Logos coming to SVG
With more than 350 people onboard from 45 different nationalities, Logos Hope, the largest floating book fair has just left Ireland and for the first time ever is crossing the Atlantic making its way to the Caribbean.{{more}}
St Vincent and the Grenadine will be the first Caribbean island to welcome the vessel. Logos Hope will arrive on the 27th July and will have an official opening ceremony on the 28th July with Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves as guest of honour. The prime minister will welcome the international ship and open it to the public from the 28th July to 11th August.
On board Logos Hope is a stock of half a million books. The titles available cover a wide range of subjects such as science, technology, sports, hobbies, cookery, and religion. With children titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases and more, there is something for all the family. The vessel is overseen by the international charity Operation Mobilisation (OM), meaning that the books are available to the public at affordable prices.
Logos Hope will be Located at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Kingstown. The opening times will be Tuesday, July 28, from 12 pm to 9 pm; Weekdays, 10 am to 9 pm; Sunday, 2 pm to 9 pm;
Monday, August 3, closed. The last open day is August 11. The entrance fee is EC$2, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
