On hand to receive them was Sister S. Providence – the Acting Dean of the School of Nursing, other Senior Sisters who are Lecturers and Clinical Instructors at the School, as well as student nurses and the School’s Library Assistant, Roslyn Hope.

The SVG Medical Association was awarded a Book Grant from the British Medical Association and the organization called TALC – Teaching Aids at Low Cost in the United Kingdom and chose to donate the volumes to the School of Nursing, as it continues its practice of providing Health Education to its members and other Health Professionals. This particular activity coincides with one of the World Health Organisation’s Global Health initiatives referred to as HIFA 2015 – Health Information for All by 2015.

The SVGMA President – Dr. Rosalind Ambrose invited the nurses to join the HIFA 2015 network to gain an ICT nexus with the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and to share their experiences as well as learn about those of others in their similar profession. The Nurses expressed their pleasure at the book donation and also their willingness to continue participation in these and other patient and professional educational activities conducted by the Medical Association.
