Foreign Affairs staff makes donation

A resident of Biabou who had his house destroyed by fire earlier this year was the recipient of of a Christmas hamper on December 17, 2008, compliments members of staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade.{{more}}

The thirty-nine year old self-employed man, Robert Isaacs, was presented with the food basket by Kathleen Glasgow, on behalf of the Ministry’s Social Club whose members contributed items and solicited the support of one business house, Star Agency. The items were valued at approximately $400.

The house in which Isaacs’ three adolescent children and their mother lived was gutted by a fire of unknown origin on October 22nd this year, with nothing saved. The children had received temporary shelter from a neighbour.
