Police Carolling Contest this weekend

The fourth Annual Police Christmas Carolling Contest will be staged this weekend, Saturday 13, 2008, at 7:30 pm at Chamber of Commerce Car Park, Kingstown.{{more}}

Nine Choirs, comprising officers within the Police Force, Auxiliaries and other Law Enforcement Agencies are expected to take part in the competition.

Each group will perform two songs, a Traditional Christmas carol and an Original Christmas song.

Customs Carollers won the competition at their first outing last year.

Other Choirs vying for the top position include inaugural winner of the contest “Traffic Angels”, two-time winner, Port Police Carollers, Cadet Carollers, Auxiliary Serenaders, Combined Carollers, Western Carollers and Coast Guard Carollers.

Other acts on the night include Barrouallie, Calliaqua and Redemption Sharpes Police Youth Clubs, Avenue Dancers, Largo Height Community Development and Symphonix Steel Orchestras, Police Drama Club and the Bowman’s. The Police Band will be in attendance.

The general public is invited to be a part of this exciting and fun filled event.
