The Graduation Ceremony heard addresses from Lavinia Gunn, Human Resource Manager of the Mustique Company, who said that the Mustique Company pays attention to the training of their workers. She noted that the Company has trained over 500 persons so far. She stated that the Caregivers are now entering the hospitality and service sector, which contributes to Tourism, and they interface with the visitors at a very personal level in the care of their children. She encouraged them to be diligent and not to underestimate their role as Caregivers. Feature speaker Wendy Bynoe-Laidlow reminded the students of the importance of focusing on all aspects of the developing child and to design programmes to meet their needs.

She also encouraged them to maintain a child-friendly environment, and to learn more about the field of Early Childhood Development to become more proficient with their work.

Chairman of Vinsave Board of Directors Bernard Joseph encouraged participants to be professional in their work and recognize that they have an opportunity to further develop themselves. Jacqueline Robinson-Massiah, Training Coordinator, gave the Course Report, while Janice Fraser, Executive Director, in her welcome remarks, expressed appreciation to the Mustique Company for contracting Vinsave to train its workers. She encouraged other business houses to do the same by training their employees in the area of Child Development. The ceremony was chaired by Walter Child, member of Vinsave Board, and certificates were distributed by Bernard Joseph. The Graduates also give a special presentation in song.
