The Opening Ceremony heard addresses from Feature Speaker Wendy Laidlow-Bynoe, Early Childhood Educator, who reminded the participants that they are “building for the future” in working with the young child. She also offered a number of ideas for the students to use in working with the child.

Remarks were made by Deborah King, Administrative Assistant in the Human Resource Department, Mustique Company, who spoke on the very fruitful relationship between VINSAVE and the Mustique Company. She also encouraged the participants to be professional in their approach to their work.

Jacqueline Robinson-Massiah, Training Co-ordinator of VINSAVE, gave an Overview of the Course, while Janice Fraser, Executive Director, gave Welcome and Opening Remarks. The vote of thanks was done by Shirla Joseph, a Tutor at Vinsave.

This is the third year that VINSAVE is training caregivers to work with the children of guests on the island of Mustique.
