CBWU President visits SVG

President of the Caribbean Baptist Women’s Union (CBWU) Bahamian Rev. Marina Sands paid a one-day visit to St. Vincent last week Friday. While in St. Vincent, Rev. Sands was guest of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Baptist Convention and was the featured speaker at a Baptist Women’s Rally at the Kingstown Baptist Church on Friday evening.{{more}} Rev. Sands delivered a stirring address in which she appealed to the women present to arise and shine and be a positive influence for Christ in their churches and communities.

The CBWU president’s Eastern Caribbean tour also takes her to Barbados in preparation for next year’s CBWU conference. She was accompanied to St. Vincent by Barbadian Jacinth Woods, vice president of CBWU and fellow Bahamian Janell Evans, Youth Director of Judaea Baptist Church, Nassau.

The CBWU team left the state on Friday evening.
