Questelles Adventists host Cantata

As part of the nation’s 29th Independence anniversary, the Questelles Seventh-day Adventist Church held a Cantata and honouring ceremony.{{more}}

The event, which was celebrated under the theme “The Heavens declare the glory of God,” attracted over 200 persons form the Questelles SDA church, the sister churches of Layou, Good News, Penniston, Vermont and Clare Valley, and well wishers from the community.

Four persons: Sanford Baker, Marietta Black, Evelyn Jackson and Duncan Solomon were honoured for their contribution to national and community development in the areas of public transportation, small business, public service and auto-mechanics, respectively.

Speaking at the event, district Pastor Ian Williams reminded the audience that if the heavens, though blighted by sin, declare God’s glory, it is imperative for human beings who were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb to praise Him even more.

Participants in the cantata included the Three Angels’ Messengers, Messengers of Hope, Advent Melodies, and the Fraser trio.
