The Calliaqua/Villa area was among the hardest hit by storm surges affecting this country as a result of Hurricane Omar.{{more}}

Yesterday morning fishermen and boat owners woke up to find some of their boats damaged and others washed away. They spent the morning trying to secure those boats that remained.

Also, the Young Island resort is said to have lost its jetty as well as the floating “Coconut Bar”. Several cracks were also seen at the jetty adjacent the Aquatic Club.
