Churches to mark Independence with service

The churches in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will host the Annual Independence Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service in commemoration of the twenty-ninth anniversary of Independence on Sunday, 19th October, 2008, at Heritage Square, beginning at 5:00 p.m.{{more}}

Rev. Victor H. Job, Superintendent of the Methodist Church, Kingstown/Chateaubelair Circuit, will deliver the sermon. Rev. George Frederick of the Pentecostal Assembly of the West Indies will conduct the Service.

At the Service, special prayers will be said by the leaders and members of the various denominations for our nation, its leaders and people.

The Churches encourage all citizens to participate in this service as we give God thanks and praise for His goodness to us as a nation for another year.
