Three persons are now $1000 better off, thanks to telecommunications company Digicel and their latest promotion.{{more}}

Last Tuesday, Marketing Executive Edmund Joachim handed over a total of $3,000 to Hermon Moses, Winston Clarke and Cam Chambers, who received $1000 each.

Moses, who hails from Vermont, has been using Digicel service for about three years now. “I feel good about winning the money because I usually spend a lot of money, because I use my phone to do business.” Moses is a farmer who plants eddoes, dasheen and bananas, among other things. According to Moses, “I always have to keep my phone ready, so I top up EC$50 most times because I call places like Trinidad, Barbados, St.Maarten and Grenada to look for business for my produce.”

Chambers, who owns a boutique in her home town of Barrouallie, says: “I feel good because I have been using the service for a long time and I just got a new phone.”

Clarke is a heavy machine operator on Mustique but is originally from Chapmans Village. He has been with Digicel since inception and was quite excited because “It is the first time I ever won anything besides 3D.” Clarke says that he would like to encourage persons to use Digicel because when they came to St. Vincent, they brought competition that helped make positive changes.
