Cable & Wireless presents PC to Roseau youth

Ten year old Dezico Francois, of Roseau Village, is the lucky winner of an HP desktop computer from Cable and Wireless. Dezico attends the Sion Hill Government School and excelled at the Cable & Wireless Internet Summer School in all the criteria used for selecting the winner.{{more}} His willingness to learn, attentiveness, punctuality and attitude towards other participants were so impressive that the judges were left with no option but to offer him the prize.

“Dezico lives in the community of Roseau, and we hope that this award will be used in his household to develop others and expose them to the positive use of the computer and the Internet,” said Sandra Matthews, Vice President Human Resources and organizer of the Internet Summer School.

Cable and Wireless Internet Summer School started in 2004 and caters for students in the age group 7 to 18 years. Each year has seen growth in numbers and Cable & Wireless has vowed to continue this very educational program in the foreseeable future.
