Gomea Methodist gets new facilities

The facility was handed over to the school by the Gomea Glad Tidings Tabernacle on Monday, September 15, at a brief ceremony on the school grounds.{{more}}

Headteacher Yvette Browne said they are grateful for the facility and describes it as a “life long dream of ours”. Browne believes that it will help “enhance the school’s culture and climate”.

She gave the assurance that the facility will be well taken care of and be “used to its greatest potential”.

Pastor Sonny Williams, of the Glad Tidings Tabernacle, said the facility was part of three projects the church has undertaken and was developed at a cost of $827,000 dollars.

He feels it is an “important project for the development of children and their minds”.

Williams urged the children to make the best use of the project and “go there and read, read and read”.

Sonja Israel, a retired teacher, urged the children to make good use of the resources available to them. She further noted that the facility will help them “become better citizens of St Vincent and the Grenadines”.
