At the end of these workshops, which take place this summer, participants should be more suitable for the employment market.
To date, the movement, which targets young people between the ages of 15 and 25, has had training in leadership and teamwork, and behavior change communication concerning sexual and reproductive health.
These were conducted by the SVPPA.
The YAM programme was initiated by the Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation, and educates mainly rural community youth on issues that range from sex education, HIV/AIDS, and providing help for troubled teen.
At present, there are two groups established on the Windward and Leeward coasts, with approximately 30 members in each group.
