Angelique wants to be a Paediatrician
The children of the world are one step closer to getting another caring, dedicated Paediatrician. She is 11-year-old Sion Hill resident Angelique Fitzpatrick. Angelique finished fifth among girls and eighth overall in the just concluded Common Entrance Examination, and the confident St Maryâs RC School student is not at all surprised about her success. {{more}}
âI am overjoyed, but I expected to finish high,â she told SEARCHLIGHT, as she flashed a confident smile at her schoolâs compound.
Angelique, who is the daughter of Clyde and Adonette Fitzpatrick, a Lecturer at the Teachersâ College and a primary school teacher, respectively, told SEARCHLIGHT that the plight of children around the world motivates her medical ambition.
As for hobbies, Angelique is passionate about pan music, and will be playing in the Junior Panorama competition this year with the Sion Hill Europium pan orchestra, the third year running for her. She is also an avid reader, and sometimes has to be restrained from over doing it by her parents.
It is this restraint that causes her to take two days to read a Nancy Drew novel because if left on her own it would be finished in one night.
Angelique thanks her teachers and parents for helping her to prepare and do as well as she did in the Common Entrance Exam.
