However, tomorrow will be Lyttle’s turn to lift his mother Janice on his shoulder, as he and other pallbearers carry her to her final resting place.

The singer’s mother passed away suddenly on April 1st in Miami, Florida, where Kevin resides.

According to reports, Janice, 52, was at her son’s home when she complained of not feeling well.

She was taken to a doctor’s office where she died.

Kevin, who gained international recognition with his hit song ‘Turn me on’, is Janice’s only child, but he has many relatives in the entertainment industry, including Angus Martin, Jeffery ‘Snuffy’ Martin and Rohan ‘Mint’ Martin.

His Uncle Angus described the passing of his older sister as a complete shock, and said he is still in disbelief.

When Searchlight spoke to Martin, final preparations were being put in place for Janice’s burial.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, with the funeral service taking place at the St. George’s Cathedral, followed by the internment at the Kingstown Cemetery.(JJ)
