Digicel assists North Windward group

Mobile Telecommunications company Digicel has given assistance to the North Windward Tourism Association – Fancy Chapter, to help them cover expenses from their recently held National Heroes Day activities held on March 14.{{more}}
Local food, music and cultural performances were showcased as residents and visitors from near and far gathered to commemorate the significant day.
Coordinator of the association, Maxell âTajoâ Francis, expressed appreciation for the contribution made by Digicel and explained that the mobile telecommunications company was helping to strengthen culture.
He noted that the rural organization also provides employment for some 10 women who prepare indigenous food in the community on a weekly basis and that it was their hope to establish an indigenous food restaurant.
Digicelâs Marketing Manager Juno De Roche congratulated the association on their endeavors and said that the company was pleased to support culture.
