Going Places Travel awards top employees

Going Places Travel has announced that three employees were awarded for outstanding service during their Annual General Meeting last month.
Nerissa Phillips was awarded the Managers Award for her âOutstanding Contribution to the Success of the office in 2007â.{{more}} Phillips also received the Top Sales Award for her âOutstanding Sales Increase in 2006â, and for the first time awards were given to staff for âExcellent Achievement in Sales in 2006â. The winners were Salona Francis, Nerissa Phillips and Natasha Roberts. These awards represent the hard work and dedication that the staff at Going Places Travel apply to their jobs. âI am so proud of these young ladies and of our Team at Going Places Travel. We have achieved so much, and we are still continuing to improve, which is so exciting, said Janine Sinson, Country Manager.
Salona Francisâ passion for the travel industry led her to pursue a course in Tourism and Ticketing in France. In November 2004, Salona brought her knowledge of languages and international experience to Going Places Travel.
Nerissa Phillips joined the team of travel experts at Going Places in June 2000 after studying at the Travel Career Institute of Trinidad, and is now the Assistant Supervisor. She continues to expanded her expertise and provide extraordinary service.
In April 2001, Natasha Roberts joined Going Places Travel as a reservation agent after training with American Eagle and is now responsible for the Special Services desk which handles Hotels/Cruise Packages and our monthly âTravel Solutionsâ newsletter. In 2006, she was awarded for her outstanding contribution in sales. Her continued desire is to exceed and fulfill her clientâs travel expectations.
Not only is Going Places Travel celebrating their staffâs excellent achievements, but also 25 years of being in the Travel Service Industry. The office was originally opened in 1982, and over the past 25 years, the company has expanded, enjoying the distinction of being the largest group of travel offices in the Eastern Caribbean. They continue to update and improve their services so that they can give their clients the most professional travel services within the industry.
In a release issued on Monday, Going Places Travel thanked all of their clients for standing by them, and said they look forward to continually providing them quality service that is unsurpassed in the travel industry. Going Places Travel has also been an agent for MoneyGram since 1986.
