Miss SVG for Jaycees Caribbean Queen pageant
The Carnival Development Corporation has announced that Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2007 Melissa Yorke, will represent this country in the 46th Annual Jaycees Caribbean Queen Competition which will be held in Antigua on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Antigua Recreational Grounds, under the theme âCaribbean Royaltyâ: Experience the Essence of Caribbean Synergy.â{{more}}
The participants will be judged in the Swimwear, Talent, Evening Gown and Interview categories. They will also make an appearance in Cultural Wear, which will not be judged.
Melissaâs cultural wear, La Belle Soufriere was designed and made by Blondie Bird and Friends.
She will leave the State on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 accompanied by her chaperone, Mira Commissiong, and return on Sunday August 5th 2007.
Eleven countries are expected to participate in the pageant.
