Beache to address NY Town Hall
THE ST. VINCENT and the Grenadines Tourist Office in New York is urging nationals to attend a Town Hall Meeting, at Brooklynâs Medgar Evers College, on Monday, June 11, at which Tourism Minister Glen Beache will speak on a wide range of issues.{{more}}
Beache will join his counterparts from Jamaica and St. Lucia in the discussion, as part of a number of activities marking âCaribbean Week,â organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).
According to a statement from Celia Ross, who heads the New York tourist office, Beache, who will be attending the annual event for the very first time, will speak on airport development at Argyle and Canouan; tourism development projects in general; Tobago Cays Marine Park; and Sports Tourism, including upgrade of the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.
Ross said Beache will also highlight festivals in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, such as Vincy Mas, Nine Mornings, Blues & Rhythms Fest, and Regattas; as well as speak on, among other things, Buccament, Bequia, Mt. Wynne and Peters Hope investments.
The event, which will be held in the collegeâs S Building auditorium, starts at 6:30 p.m.
Medgar Evers College is located at 1650 Bedford Ave., between Montgomery and Crown Streets.
