GTM Insurance sets up branch office

After fifty years operating here in St.Vincent and the Grenadines as an agency, the Guyana, Trinidad Mutual Insurance Company has expanded its activities into a branch office.

The move came after the head office situated in Guyana decided to allow islands where agencies had been established to stand on their own.{{more}}

According to GTM chairman Harold Davis, in a speech delivered at the company’s cocktail party last Friday, the head office is confident that the economy of this country will continue to grow in the long term and as an expression of this confidence they have decided to upgrade the agency into a branch.

Davis also indicated that the company plans to expand its services, adding motor vehicle insurance to the services already available, and plans are in the works to find a permanent location for the branch office, which is currently located in Middle Street.

The four-person staff will be headed by branch supervisor Eugenia Carter, who has been in the insurance business for over 15 years.

GTM insurance, which has been in existence since 1880, has also established brances in St. Lucia and Grenada.
