Windward water project in final phase

The Central Water and Sewage Authority (CWSA) wishes to inform the general public that it has now entered the final commissioning phase of the Windward Water Supply Project, which is now scheduled for completion in August 2007.

The commissioning work will be done in tandem with the construction of the final storage tank at Calder, the competition of the filter units at the Treatment Plant and the final changeover from the old pipelines to the new network.{{more}}

As a result of this changeover the CWSA wishes to inform residents of villages along the Windward coast that some areas may experience minor-fluctuations in quality and quantity of water being supplied during this short commissioning period.

The CWSA regrets this temporary inconvenience and wishes to assure all the Windward residents of a vastly improved water supply system upon completion of the Project.
