This week Cable & Wireless made its contribution to the St. Vincent Planned Parenthood Corporate Food Bank Committee.

This initiative to increase the level of support for persons living with HIV/AIDS here in St. Vincent & the Grenadines is one taken up by the St. Vincent Planned Parenthood Association. Last year the association met with representatives from various business organizations in the state to work on establishing a Food Bank for members of their support group.{{more}}

Cable & Wireless, official sponsor of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 which begins here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on March 5, made a contribution of $2,150, which will be going towards the distribution of food and other resources to those in need.

Foster Hannaway, VP Marketing & Mobile handed over the cheque to Nzinga Sargeant, Programme Officer. Hannaway expressed the need for businesses within our country to continue to support important programmes such as these, to help those that may be less fortunate than us.
