Police quickly arrived at the scene, helped secured the building and scurried customers and bystanders away to safety.

Police told SEARCHLIGHT that a telephone call was made to one of the tellers at about 12.30 p.m. stating a bomb was in the building.

Some persons took the event to be a spectator sport as they stuck around to see what was going to occur instead of fleeing to safety.

Investigations are still being carried out into the matter.
