Digicel launches ‘Credit Me/Credit U’
Digicel has announced a new top-up service.
The programme named “Credit Me / Credit U” allows customers to transfer credit from a Digicel prepaid or postpaid phone to another Digicel prepaid phone.
For 25 cents customers can send a credit by entering * 128 * followed by the 11-digit number of the cell phone followed by the amount of money being transferred. For example, if one wished to transfer $23 to telephone number 123-4567 which is a St Vincent phone, the code would be * 128 * 17841234567 * 23 #.{{more}}
“Customers can send any amount of credit between $2 and $500 per day,” said Errol McGlothan, Marketing Director for the Eastern Caribbean. “We are very proud to be the first operator to bring this type of service to our markets in the Eastern Caribbean and it demonstrates our continued commitment to introducing innovative services that meet our customersâ needs”.
Credit U can be used between any of the following Eastern Caribbean Dollar markets: St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Dominica. Credit can be transferred from one country to another.
This brings to five the number of methods which can be used to top up a Digicel phone. The other methods are: Top U Card; E Top Up; Directflex; and Top-U-Up.
