Private Sector Organisation to host trade seminar
The Private Sector Organization of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (PSOSVG) in collaboration with the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM) will be hosting a one-day workshop under the theme, âThe Dollars and Sense of Current Trade Negotiationsâ, on Tuesday, July 25.
The PSOSVG, an umbrella organization set up to handle both traditional and non-traditional aspects of business development, will be hosting the seminar to raise the standard of the private sector here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}
According to Consultant with the PSOSVG, Rudi Daniel, the seminar will be targeting a wide cross-section of business individuals locally.
âThe objective of the seminar is to develop practical positions in trade negotiations to promote commercial activity here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines,â Daniel said.
As part of the seminar, focus would be placed on three industry sectors, banking, music and tourism. The meeting would look at critical issues faced in these three sectors in penetrating export markets and safeguarding local market.
On hand to deliver remarks at the workshop would be OECS Trade Policy Advisor Dr. Claudius Preville and the CRNMâs Private Sector Liaison Lincoln Price.
The forum would also hear comments from government representatives including Trade Minister Sir Lious Straker.
The PSOSVG has been functioning for the last five months and is located at Stoney Grounds.
