RBTT young leaders debates 2006

The preliminary round of the RBTT Young Leaders Debates culminated on Thursday 26th January 2006 at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown. Fifteen schools debated Motion One of the debates: Be it resolved that, “Traditional family values are more relevant today.”

Of the fifteen schools that participated, ten schools were selected to go forward to the quarter-final round, which took place on Wednesday 8th February and Thursday 9th February 2006 at the Anglican Pastoral Centre.{{more}}

The schools which took part in the quarter-final round were Bishop’s College Kingstown, Union Island Secondary, Bethel High School, St. Vincent Grammar School, St. Vincent Girls’ High School, Adelphi Secondary School, Barrouallie Secondary School, Bequia Seventh Day Adventist, St. Clair Dacon Secondary School and St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown.

Four schools will be selected to go through to the semi-final round on Wednesday 22nd February 2006, with two schools going forward to the final slated for Wednesday 8th March 2006.

The RBTT Young Leaders Programme is into its 9th year in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with this year being the 4th for the debates.
