100.5 FM coming with ‘Total’ island coverage

Total FM 100.5 will soon have 100% coverage throughout this country.

According to Manager Jackie Quashie, the radio station coverage now stands at 75% but with the introduction of the new equipment, located at Mount St. Andrew, transmission will reach the entire nation and beyond. {{more}}

She noted that with the help of their engineers, this will ensure that the station delivers on its promise to have signal strength and clarity in its broadcast from their studios at Mc Kie’s Hill.

Quashie pointed out that the seven-month-old station has received extremely favourable response from the public and many business places which prefer the “more music, less talk” programming of Total FM.

The station manager said that music catalogues have been reformatted and new presenters added to give the station a “new sound” from last Wednesday, February 1.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer, CEO Vidal Browne stressed that Total Fm will continue to present itself as a product of international standard. He commented that with the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) Total FM will satisfy both “advertisers and their discerning listeners.”

Some of the programmes include, “Totally-Cool Saturdays” from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; “100.5% Solid Gold” Sundays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and “Night-Flight” weekdays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Total FM signs on from 5:30 a.m. with their “Total Brand” music all day.
