O’Neal ejected from Strangers’ Gallery

A rare occurrence took place in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, January 24.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hendrick Alexander, asked Ivan O’Neal, Leader and Co-Founder of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Green Party to remove himself from the House. ##:[more]##

Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace was presenting his response to the 2006 Budget address when members of the Government side interjected.

O’Neal sitting in the strangers’ gallery shouted: “Order, Mr. Speaker!”

Speaker Alexander immediately responded: “Mr. O’Neal, will you please remove yourself from the House.”

O’Neal did not object and left quietly.
