Gifts for Milton Cato Memorial Hospital

On Tuesday, December 20, 2005, the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) was the recipient of an estimated $1, 100 000 of medical supplies from Canada.

This was the second such container that was presented last year – the previous shipment was received in April 2005. Byron Jones again teamed up with International HOPE, an organization that supports medical institutions throughout the world. {{more}}Working with Phyllis Reader, Director of International HOPE, Jones organized and shipped the supplies to arrive in time for Christmas. Reader expressed that “we are particularly fond of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the transparent manner in which they work with our organization … we are working to bring greater benefits to you in the future”

A 40ft container of specialty hospital equipment, primarily heart and other monitors, intensive care units, infant incubators and isolettes, 23 beds, blood pressure machines, bedside cabinets, wheel chairs, walkers, crutches, canes, IV poles, 178 boxes of medical and surgical supplies, 121 boxes of mineral oil, alcohol and alum powder, 48 boxes of diapers and incontinent pads and 25 boxes of hydrogen peroxide, were presented by Jones to Pam Bonadie MCMH Administrator.
