Guyanese comedian to perform in SVG

You’ve come to know the after work lime at Roy’s Inn as “Throw Back Friday.”

But come next week Friday, August 26, from 8 p.m, the popular hotel and restaurant at Kingstown Park will be the centre of comedy with legendary Guyanese comedian, Henry Rodney. The entertainer who has won several Best Actor awards in his homeland has toured the US and Canada extensively. {{more}}

Rodney is a regular performer at the ‘King and Queens” of Caribbean Comedy show held at the Brooklyn Centre for the Performing Arts and participates in the Caribbean Comedy Festival in Connecticut, Boston and Washington D.C.

While in Guyana, Rodney hosts “Comedy Night” held at an upscale restaurant on Friday nights and also hosts “Comedy.Com” a television show. The Entertainer is also president and director of “Thrills Theatre Troupe.”

So given his experience as a comedian he would be sure to “tickle your funny bone” from beginning to end. The evening of comedy would be complimented with live music from local singer/musician, Ken Isles.
