Station Manager: Total FM has the total package

If radio listeners are looking for a station with a difference, look no further! Total FM is here and beaming from the frequency of 100.5 at McKies Hill. In an exclusive interview with Searchlight, Manager Jackie Quashie assured listeners that the music on Total FM would soothe listeners: “We aim to establish a reputation for the production and delivery of true radio. {{more}}We hope to provide listeners with relaxing and enjoyable programmes. We cater to the mature audience but that doesn’t mean old people. There are some mature youth that really appreciate good radio.”

Quashie said they have been testing and have been on air since Wednesday, May 11, but were officially launched on Friday, July 1, under the parent company of Totalcom Network.Inc. The station manager said that, so far, the reception has been really good from the business community. “I think that they have welcomed it because it is something different. Our programmes are informative and our staff is quite experienced. We have a good team that has been working together to get Total FM recognised. People like what they hear and the staff is spurred on by it.”

Quashie outlined that the station’s next aim is to increase the transmitting power and introduce other programmes. She also expressed gratitude to the persons who helped the company get up and running.
