He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

Cuffy was the lone murder victim for Vincy Mas 2005.

Relatives said the family had received information that Cuffy’s death was as a result of mistaken identity. It is believed that the youngster was mistaken for a cousin.

LaFleur Cruickshank, the aunt of the deceased said she saw her nephew Oran at approximately 3 a.m. that morning.

“I asked him if he playing J’Ouvert and he said he is a Grammar School boy,” said Cruickshank.

She said when she received the news shortly after 5 a.m that he had died she was shocked.

Cruickshank said the stab to Cuffy’s back might have punctured his heart.

She said a young lady told her Cuffy had been dancing with a young lady when he was attacked by six guys. He managed to flee the scene but was caught near to the “Ju-C” building on Granby and James Streets where he was stabbed.

Up to press time on Wednesday, the police said no one had been arrested for the murder.
