Residents of Greggs raised an alert last Friday, June 17, after one of their own was brutally attacked and chopped about his back and face by an assailant.

The cry that echoed across the neighbourhood was “Scorcher dead!” as the wounded man lay helpless on the street. {{more}}

He was to lie there for close to two hours before an ambulance arrived to take the bleeding man to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile scores of persons simply stood around though one person threw a sheet to the wounded man who used it to wrap his body.

He survived.
