Brothers sing: It Is Well With My Soul

The “Quow Brothers” Alban, Mack and Ben captivated the large gathering at the Barrouallie Anglican Church last Saturday, May 21, as they blended their beautiful voices and rendered the Hymn: “It is well with my Soul” during the funeral service for their “Beloved Sister”, the late Olga Quow also of Barroualie. {{more}}

It was indeed a fitting tribute since, according to Mack in his recollections, it was Olga who was responsible for molding their vocal chords into tuned voices. Olga was then the Church Organist with responsibility for training the choir. She was also their “Big Sister” with disciplinary powers given to her by Daddy, to use the strap at will on her younger siblings, the boys having no form of recourse whatsoever, a missing ingredient in training children today.

The three Brothers who are also the uncles of Searchlight’s Columnist, Dr. Adrian Fraser (Olga’s son); left the shores of SVG about forty years ago, during that famous Exodus of the 1950’s and – 1960’s, together they would have spent over one hundred and twenty years living abroad, in the USA and the UK. They however, have been returning accasionally for vacations. Searchlight is happy to welcomes them home inspite of the sad circumstances.
