The group, which included editors from all CARICOM territories examined some of the challenges of communicating the concept of the CSME to Caribbean people.

The 29 to 30 April session was addressed during the opening by Secretary General of CARICOM Edwin Carrington who exhorted the editors to ensure that maximum information was provided before the actual implementation of the CSME.

Carrington also gave each of the editors a copy of a new text book just released by the Guyana- based Secretariat that is geared toward the 14 to 24 age group on the history and workings of CARICOM.

SEARCHLIGHT was represented at the forum by Editor Dexter Rose.
