Barrouallie School launches Young Leaders Programme

The members of the Barrouallie Secondary School Young Leaders Club have officially unveiled their programme of activities for 2005. The Young leaders announced Monday February 7 a set of activities which they plan to undertake as part of the RBTT Young Leaders Programme being held under the theme: Strengthening Caribbean Society: Our Vision, Our Culture, Our People. {{more}}

The BSS Young Leaders projects will be based on the sub-theme Youth: Building a Better Caribbean. The overall aim of the programme is to heighten awareness among young people about the need for a better Caribbean driven by the energy of youth.

Ronnie Daniel, a Christian Educator attached to the Kingstown Methodist Church, delivered the feature address at the launching ceremony which also heard remarks from Principal Glasley Lewis, and Vice- President of the BSS Young Leaders, Romancia Bobb. Astraka Johnson, a member of the group also did a short cultural presentation.

The Barrouallie Secondary School Young Leaders said they have now set about in earnest to implement their programme of activities.
