June Ellis, a representative of the SVGATRC, said the monies presented were raised at a fund-raising concert in Toronto. The SVGATRC, in existence for 36 years, has also successfully staged anniversary celebrations and children’s Christmas programmes in the past.

“I’m very grateful for this contribution and would like to thank Sonia Sutton and all the members of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Toronto Relief Committee who has made this gift possible,” said Sister Zita Knights, director of Bread of Life Home for Kids.

Sister Knights promised, “The kids will get an extra happiness for their Christmas.”
